Hey, I'm Skyler Cadwallader. I'm a student at Marion High School, and for my senior project, I decided to have a dress-up week to help spread awareness of mental health! The Marion School Board will hold a meeting tomorrow evening at 8:00 PM in the music room (after the elementary music concert) to publicly discuss and review a draft document presented to the Parker School District. The document outlines potential terms and timelines for the schools to create an all-sports cooperative. The Parker School Board publicly reviewed this document on Monday night, March 24. Public comment will be available after the document and Board discussion has occurred. Directives for speaking during the open meeting will be outlined by Marion School Board President, Scott Tieszen, at that time. Talks between the two schools are ongoing.
As a reminder, the elementary music concert will be Thursday evening at 6:45 PM in the new gym. All preschool through 3rd grade students need to please report to their classroom by 6:30 and 4th - 6th grade students should be in the gym at/prior to 6:30. Looking forward to an amazing night, we hope you can make it!

Thank you for the overwhelming response to our Summer Bear Care program! Due to high enrollment, we’ve reached capacity for the summer...However, if you’d like to still enroll, we encourage you to join our waiting list by submitting an application with a check (which will NOT be cashed unless a spot opens). We ask that this be completed (joining the waiting list) prior to April 17th. With this list we'll be able to a possibly expand to open more slots while assessing staffing needs. The Freeman Academy/Marion Winter Sports Awards Recognition will be held at the Freeman Academy Pioneer Hall on Monday, March 24th starting at 6:30. We will recognize all winter sports participants. There won't be a meal.

The 1st grade class did an amazing job creating a puppet show. They wrote the story, built the set, and made their own characters. Their hard work paid off during the performance, and it was clear they had fun working together. It was a wonderful display of creativity and teamwork!
