The Senior class of 2022 will be presenting their Senior Capstone Projects at the school on Monday, April 25th beginning at 4:15 pm. Each student will give a 15-20 minute presentation explaining their year-long projects and how they relate to their plans for the future. Presentations will be given in two different classrooms simultaneously, so this event will only last about an hour. These presentations are open to the public and community members are encouraged to come out and support our soon to be graduates!

The Marion Skills USA class and their instructor, Keith Andersen, recently attended the State Skills USA Convention in Rapid City. Gavyn Tieszen and Westley Sorensen attended and participated in the Electrical Construction and Welding contests, respectively. Gavyn placed second and Westley placed 11th.



2022 Phoenix Football Season Meeting. Coach Tschetter would like to meet with all boys in grades 6-11 who are interested in going out for football next year. The meeting Thursday April 14 at 7:40am in Marion's new gym.

The high school and middle school track teams had a great day at the Centerville Invite on Tuesday, April 12. The varsity boys won their division ahead of Websiter and Viborg-Hurley. Congratulations!


The Advanced Computer Class spent time this week with the kindergarten and 3rd grade students demonstrating the Wonder Dash Robots. Students got a chance to program their own robots!





The second graders received books for their classroom that were purchased with a grant from Wells Fargo. Thanks to Victoria Blau for getting this grant!


Marion students and staff participated in the Marion School First Annual Non-Talent Show!





Winter Sports Banquet is tonight at the old gym in Marion. We will be honoring all students who participated in winter sports (JH BB, HS BB, cheer and wrestling).
This will be a time to recognize all student athletes that are involved in all winter sports. Coaches will share about their season and give out awards.
Banquet will start at 6:30 with the awards to follow at 7:00. Please use the following as a guideline for the banquet:
Seniors, sophomores and 8th grade bring a dessert or salad
Juniors, freshman and 7th grade bring a main dish
Tableware and drink will be provided.

The Marion School will be hosting Lunch with Parents on April 27th. If you would like to join your child for lunch please call the school at 605-648-3615 ext.0 before April 26th by noon. Preschool- 2nd grade lunch starts at 11:00 am 3rd- 5th lunch starts at 11:20 am.

Reminder that the Marion School Spring concert is on Monday April 4th. The Elementary starts at 6:00 pm, Middle School and High School starts at 7:00 pm.

The Junior High Dance that was scheduled for tonight is postponed to April 22nd with the FCCLA Lock-in to follow. On April 22nd the dance will be at 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Two weeks ago the freshman had their last week of health and did a food eating contest. Those participating tried to eat the most donuts.
