Auditions for the One-Act Play will be all day, Wednesday, October 5th. This year, we are doing a rollicking fairy tale comedy called "Furry Tails with a Twist." There will be an audition sign-up sheet posted, and scripts are available for check-out in Ms. Schanzenbach's room. All students grades 7th-12th are eligible to audition. Unlike the Spring musical, roles are limited, so students are urged to have fun and not hold back! The majority of rehearsals will be during study hall, with occasional Fridays. Regional One-Act competition will take place in mid-to-late January.

Marion Athletics kicked off a great opening weekend. On Friday, August 19, the new Freeman-Marion-Freeman Academy Phoenix football team prevailed 34-12 over the Burke Cougars. Marion sophomore Dominic Sperling contributed to the score with a rushing touchdown.
On Saturday the Bobcat soccer team outscored Custer 7-0. Leading with four goals was Marion junior Jonatan Lopez. Also adding to the score was junior Lester Richard-Hanson with one goal.
Reminder School starts on Monday, August 22nd with a dismissal at 12:30 pm. Doors will open for breakfast at 7:40 am. Please do not drop your student/s off before this time. Thank you and see you all on Monday!
