Kindergarten Round-Up is on April 25th & 26th. For future kindergarten students and parents. Your child(ren) must be 5 before 09/01/2024. Please call the Marion School main office at 605-648-3615 ext.0 to schedule a time for your child(ren). If you are unable to attend round-up, you may register your child(ren) for kindergarten as soon as possible.

The Freeman Academy/Marion Bearcats Boys Basketball team will play their 1st Round game of Region 4B on Tuesday night at Freeman Public. The Bearcats will play the Centerville Tornadoes at 7:30. Ticket prices are $6 for adults and $4 for students; these are set by the SDHSAA. Good luck Bearcats!

The Bearcat Varsity Boys Basketball team will travel to Scotland on Saturday to participate in the Great Plains Conference Classic. The Bearcats will play Avon at 12:30. Below is a link to the livestream; it is a Pay-Per-View Link that costs $8. This helps cover costs associated with the event. Once you pay the $8 you will be able to watch all of the conference classic games scheduled for the day. Gate admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students. Conference passes will not be accepted as this is a fundraiser to cover costs of this event and other conference activities.

In preschool, they have been studying about animals. This week they were talking about which animals make good pets, and what pets need to live. Yesterday the preschool class read the story, “ Gilbert goldfish wants a pet,” and then each student got to adopt their own goldfish.
A fun sweet way to wrap up the 4th graders unit on fractions today.
