Good evening, Here is the school board agenda for tomorrow night's community meeting. We hope to see you there!

The 4th grade students did an engineering challenge today. They had to design a boat that can support the weight of marbles. Student groups had to budget money to buy supplies for building supplies and had to figure in for the improvements needed. We held a competition and had a tie win with 44 marbles!

We wanted to communicate a school calendar adjustment. To accomodate some professional developement for our staff we "flip-flopped" Friday October 20th with Friday November 17th. If you have any questions please let me know, brian.brosnahan@k12.sd.us. Additionally, please join us on Monday the 16th of October and Monday the 6th of November for our community meetings outlining Marion's vision for the future! Again, please reach out with any questions. Thank you!

Go Bearcats!

Pink Night
On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, the Marion FCCLA asks all students and staff to show their school spirit by dressing in as much pink as possible! We will be offering prizes that day for the best-dressed student in elementary, Middle, and High School, and each class has the chance to win "Best Pink Spirit" and will earn a special surprise for their style. The Marion staff will also be competing for these prizes. Tuesday morning will kick off with the FCCLA selling stick-on tattoos for $1 and scrunchies or bracelets for $2. Students can purchase these items starting at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 10. If you ordered a shirt you can pick up tomorrow morning before school or at the game.
Please plan to join us that evening to celebrate Pink Night with the Freeman Academy/Marion Bearcats and the Marion FCCLA during the last home volleyball game on October 10, 2023. Marion FCCLA will be offering a wide variety of items for the raffle and will have a few goodies for sale. The Junior Class will host a free-will donation baked potato feed, so plan to eat supper at the game. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow night!
