Question of the week: "Why did you buy a couch?!" A couch is the perfect addition to the music room! I've had so much fun this week watching students interact in this new space. This couch has already had smiles, laughter and tears.. Creating a comforting environment where students want to be is the goal and I think we succeeded!
The Junior High B/E Huskie Invite track meet scheduled for Friday, April 19, in Bridgewater has been cancelled due to the weather.
**The Marion High School Senior class will present their Capstone Projects on Monday, April 22nd here at the school. There will be two rounds of presentations, the 1st of which is open to the public (the 2nd round will be kept to judges only). We welcome all community members to come by and see all the hard work our Seniors have put into their final year of high school! The public schedule is as follows:

The Phoenix Softball game vs. Avon that was postponed on April 1st has now been rescheduled to Tuesday, April 30th in Freeman. The Varsity game will start at 5 followed by the JV. Go Phoenix!
Due to the forecasted rainfall for tomorrow, the JH/Varsity track meet at Gayville has been cancelled. It will not be rescheduled.
The JH/JV Golf Meet scheduled at Scotland/Bon Homme has been rescheduled to April 25th.
Attention Marion School families! We have El Riad Shrine Circus tickets available at the school. Children aged 12 and younger can turn in these tickets at the box office for free admission. Adult tickets are $12 each and must be purchased in Sioux Falls.

It's these small acts of kindness and support that make our school community so special. We're grateful to Mr. VonBerege for going above and beyond to help our students feel confident and prepared for important events like Prom.

Marion High School is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive on April 17 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The drive will be located in the main gym at the Marion school. To schedule an appointment, go to www.redcrossblood.org. You will need to put the Marion zip code in the 'make an appointment' box. From there, you should be able to schedule your time. Good evening, the unofficial election results for the Marion School Board have been compiled. There were 337 total votes with 1 provisional vote cast. The results are as follows:
