Attention Parents/Guardians, Former Students, Eligible (Adult) Students: All student records (including Special Education records) which have been collected by the Marion School District related to the identification, evaluation, educational placement, must be maintained under state and federal laws for a period of five years after education services have ended for the student. Special Education services end when the student is no longer eligible for services, graduates, completes his or her educational program at age 21, or moves from the district. 

This notification is to inform parents/guardians and former students of the Marion School District that records of students who have been gone from the district for five years, will be destroyed in accordance with state and federal law.

If you wish to maintain this information for your personal records, please contact Denise Pekron by February 28, 2023 in the high school office at 605-648-3615. Please allow 24 hours’ notice prior to picking up records.
